The inside story of TDP’s cash transfer scheme

It’s 2009 now and the Chandra babu is doing every thing he can to bring back TDP to power. It seems he is not leaving a single community of people, handloom weavers, fisherman, drivers, cable operators and of course the poor without offering a sop. The two most talked about schemes are those of free colour TV’s and cash transfer scheme. While the former is already being done in the adjoining state of Tamilnadu by the Chief Minister Karunanidhi, the later one, the cash transfer scheme is an alien to Indian people. ‘Babu’ always refers to Brazil where it is currently being implemented. But is he saying the conditions in which it is being implemented?
This scheme is called as Bolsa Familia in Brazil and is based on a few conditions and so is called a ‘Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT)‘.
There are 3 basic conditions that are to be fulfilled by the families in order to be benefited by the scheme.
  • Children in the benefiting household must be compulsorily sent to school.
  • Children in the benefiting family must be vaccinated regularly like from Polio, Hepatitis etc.
  • Mothers-to-be in the benefiting family must receive complete pre-natal care.
Of course all the above said conditions are for the good sake of those families but are they feasible to the poor in this State?
Every time Babu is seen in any campaign, he just says Rs.2000 to extreme poor, Rs.1500 to poor and Rs.1000 to middle class. What do people understand from that? That scheme gives us Rs.2000 every month without doing anything.
It’s OK if Babu implements this scheme without the above conditions but why is he not mentioning them in his campaign remains the question to be asked.
No doubt that the cash transfer is possible or not, it is possible. The Department for International Development is giving its full support to Brazilian Government to successfully implement but only after accepting the above conditions.
But how will it be implemented in Andhra Pradesh?

It is most unfortunate that people mentioning CBN hiking 2rs kg rice 5 rs.. I don’t know , how is it possible to give rice for 2kg for lifetime..Can we people work for the same sal even after 10yrs? CBN had vision for development which will generate revenue there by establish development slowly.. As long as people are selfish, all political party’s will come with this type of schems.

ncb can implement the scheme. i think that to implement such schemes there should be some conditionalities which are again for the welfare of poor people. no party lays the conditionalities for any schemes before elections. moreover the three main conditionalities mentioned above are easy and people will understand and implement them. THE NEED OF THE HOUR IS TO KICK OFF THIS CONGRESS GOVT WHICH HAS BROUGHT DISGRACE TO WHOLE AP.THERE SHOULD BE A REVOLUTION IN INDIA.

This is another gimmick from Chandra Babu. He is heavily discredited for [edited] the popular schemes launched by NTR like Rs 2 per Kg Rice, Rs 50 per Horse Power for Agricultural pump sets, and [edited] ban etc., after winning the elections. He increased rice rate from Rs 2 per Kg to Rs 3.50 per Kg within 6 months of coming to power and then to Rs 5.50. Increased power tariff heavily when already farmers were suffering from continuous droughts during all his 9 years of rule(therefore people believe he is [edited], bad luck for farmers and state) thus breaking their backs. People don’t take his promises seriously in the light of this history. Even if its possible I’m not sure what are we trying to achieve, are we trying to make people lazy and people don’t have to work for their living. Also Babu didn’t reveal where is he going to get this money from? and what are the strings attached to this. He may attach gazillion conditions thus this scheme will be limited to few hundreds thus kind of cheating masses without specifying these conditions before elections. Babu is sure he is not going to come to power therefore promising impossible freebies during the current elections.

I feel this is good scheme. deffinately chandhrababu naidu will implement this sceme. and some conditions are there but these conditions also helps to people to devlop themselves. for example 1st condition is benificiary should send there childrens to school. this is a very good condition in our andhrapradesh all poor childrens will be send to school with this education will improve if education improves then it is indication of development. and 2nd condition is for helth of childrens benificier should continueseli check up there childrens helth with this helth will improves. and they should take prenatal care with this mothers helth will be good and childrens will born helthy right. so friends tell me dont u feel this is good scheme. diffinately this will be successfull if it continues then we will not find any poor after 10 years. so encorage chandhrababu nadu and make him cm once again.
